Well played sir. Bought it hook, line and sinker, even attributed the links misdirection to a bad copy-paste job on the author's part. I seem to recall Google having made another large purchase or release on April 1st and was going to comment that they seem to have a penchant for doing incredible things on this date, which I guess inclined me to believe it. Regardless, congratulations on being the only person (so far) to catch me today.

This is a great way to find conversations and people to build relationships (which will then hopefully start to listen to your podcast). I know I've been able to promote my podcasting tips via twitter as well as answer questions. Just don't lead with HI- LISTEN TO MY PODCAST. Build the relationship first, then gently point them toward your podcast.

Hi Dave, thanks for the comments.

I looked at my user profile, but that box isn't checked. I checked it,
saved, tried again, went back and unchecked it. Same results.

I can see both the Visual and HTML tabs. I start off in the HTML tab, where
I can buttons for functionality to format, insert links, etc.; when I click
the Visual tab, I don't see any buttons, and the text is still in HTML
format.

I'll post some pics to this post as an update.

If you go to your user profile there is a setting "Disable the visual editor when writing" it is probably checked.
